The afternoon of January 12, 2010, an earthquake of 7.3 degrees on
the Richter scale shook Haiti.
According to the results of a year after the earthquake, the
effects were devastating: 316,000 dead, 350,000 victims injured and more than
1.5 million people homeless of the total to date 80,000 people still living
in camps.
Among the collapsed buildings by the movement are the National
Palace, the Cathedral of Port-au-Prince and the building of the mission of the
United Nations, as well as schools, hospitals, police stations, ministries,
churches.
